The Florida Legislature was considering a bill that would have overhauled alimony law and taken away some judicial discretion in determining alimony. The Bill also included a provision creating a presumption of 50-50 time-sharing. The legislative session ended abruptly without a vote on the Bill. No doubt the legislature will consider alimony reform again in the near future.
